MEET THE STAFF

Attorney at Law

After moving out of the area for approximately six years I returned to my hometown of Cheboygan, Michigan I enrolled at Boston University and completed studies to obtain my certification in Paralegal Studies while working in my father's firm assisting office staff in 2011 and meeting with clients. I worked as a Paralegal and a Certified Mediator while obtaining my Associates Degree through North Central Michigan in 2013 and my Bachelor's Degree, at Lake Superior State University in 2014. I started law school later in 2014 at Western Michigan Thomas M. Cooley Law School, Juris Doctor - Cum Laude, graduating and passing the Michigan bar in 2017. I was fortunate enough to work in my father's law practice, while also working as a Chief Assistant Prosecutor in Presque Isle and Montmorency counties. Upon the passing of my father in 2021, I decided to resign my position in Presque Isle County and focus my attention on my father's legacy Kwiatkowski Law Firm, PLLC. I am married to Cassie Kwiatkowski, and we have two fun loving energetic boys and a loving daughter in college. I enjoy fishing, spending time with family and coaching hockey for the kids in our community.

Legal Assistant/Office Manager

I graduated from Cheboygan Area High School in 1984; and North Central Michigan College in 1989 with an Associate of Applied Science Degree (Legal Secretary). I have worked in the legal field since 1985 and joined Peter P. Patrick, in 1996. The law firm changed its name to Patrick & Kwiatkowski, PLLC in 2001 when Joseph P. Kwiatkowski joined the practice. Then again in 2006 to Patrick, Kwiatkowski & Hesselink, PLLC. I left the office in 2009 to seek other legal experiences and then rejoined the firm in 2016. I have two grown children and four grandchildren. Family is everything and this firm is my second family.
